STACK Battle of the Brands Week Six Recap
To say Week Six action went down to the wire would be an understatement, as one team scored a dramatic, come-from-behind victory to win by the smallest margin of the season. What else went down on Sunday besides Felix Baumgartner’s historic 24-mile, sound-barrier-busting space jump? Get the lowdown on this week’s fantasy football action below.
Robert Griffin III Runs Wild, Carries Team adidas to 112-80 Victory Over Team Under Armour
RGIII sure is living up to the hype. After being knocked out of Week Five action with concussion-like symptoms, the former Baylor QB stormed back in a major way, scoring a career-high 38 fantasy points for Team adidas and giving the brand its second win over Team Under Armour in as many games. Under Armour has now lost four straight after starting the season 2-0.
Team Reebok Completes Improbable Comeback to Defeat Team Nike, 117.86-117.66
Don’t call it a comeback, because we know that no lead is safe with Peyton Manning at the helm. Manning teamed up with TE Antonio Gates to erase a 55-point deficit and defeat Team Nike by two-tenths of a point. Reebok has won four consecutive games, while Team Nike drops to .500 on the year.
Three Stars of the Week
3. Antonio Gates, Team Reebok
Gates hauled in six catches for 81 yards and two TD for 26 fantasy points, nearly equaling his production over the course of the first five weeks, during which he totaled 27 points.
2. Robert Griffin III, Team adidas
RGIII led all Battle of the Brands players in rushing with 138 yards on 13 carries and two TDs.
1. Peyton Manning, Team Reebok
The Sheriff is back in town. Manning went 24-30 for 309 yards, three TDs and an interception.
Week Seven Match-Ups
Team adidas (3-3) vs. Team Nike (3-3)
Team Reebok (4-2) vs. Team Under Armour (2-4)
