It’s a debate that’s been played out in living rooms and rec rooms all over the country. In an era of spectacular graphics, deep game modes and automatic roster updates, can old school video games compare with new?
Well . . . it depends on whom you ask, which is why we need your help.
STACK Gamer is pleased to introduce the bracket for the Best Sports Video Game of All Time tournament. We’ve selected 32 of the most popular sports video games in history, from eight- and 16-bit classics like NBA Jam and Super Punch Out! to ultra contemporary offerings available for Xbox 360 and PS3. Over the next few weeks, we’ll roll out videos for each match-up and give gamers a change to pick the winners on our Facebook page.
To participate, all you have to do is like us on Facebook and make your selections. We’ll tally up your votes and announce which games advance to the second round, the quarterfinals, and so on. We’ll be updating the bracket here and posting new match-up videos on our YouTube channel.
If you have an all-time favorite game, make your voice heard. We’ll keep you posted with the latest developments and announce the winner in early April.
