Ezekiel Elliott Took Heat on Twitter After Cheering for His Hometown St. Louis Blues to Beat Dallas Stars
The Dallas Cowboys drafted Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott with the fourth pick in this year’s NFL Draft. Fans reacted with glee on Draft night, but it only took one tweet from Zeke to have Cowboy Nation turn against him.

During the St. Louis Blues-Dallas Stars game on Wednesday, Elliott tweeted out a cheer for the Blues. Maybe not the smartest move, but St. Louis is his hometown, so not that big a deal, right? Wrong. Dallas fans attacked Zeke with tweets.
Here is Zeke’s tweet and some of the replies he received:
LETS GO BLUES

@Kmcenturff2 @EzekielElliott what. The. F. I now hate our new RB.

@EzekielElliott Ramsey should of been 4th pick smh

Some of these tweets are offensive. We don’t know why a fan would want Zeke to be traded or hope he gets injured just for cheering for a different team. He’s the future of their football team and they treat him like dirt. Not cool. Zeke did reply later on, making a joke out of the situation.
Dang I didn’t know I couldn’t root for my cousin @KidElls1
