TRAILER: HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 4
A final trailer for the upcoming Season 4 of Game of Thrones has been released. Check it out at the bottom of this post.
One thing is clear: the war is far from over. In the clip, Brienne promises Jaime Lannister she will locate the missing Arya Stark, who is on a journey of her own, transforming from a tomboy into a full-blown warrior. Because as Ramsay Snow points out, “The Starks have always ruled the North. If they’re alive, the country will rally to their side.”
Meanwhile, Daenerys continues her mission to claim the Iron Throne with the help of her ever-growing dragons. “Let the priests argue over good and evil. They can live in my new world. Or they can die in their old one,” she sneers.
Talking with E! Online, Maisie Williams, who portrays Arya, warned fans that her character won’t be the same laid back youthful girl she once was. “Arya’s really changing this year, and I’m not sure people are going to like who she’s becoming. She’s turning a lot darker and she’s not quite as fun as she used to be. It’s a different Arya than we’ve seen before,” said Williams.
Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss recently signed on to produce the show for at least two more seasons. The series hasn’t been renewed for Season 5, but nothing indicates a decline in its popularity. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly recently, Benioff said they expect to end the show after a seventh season. He also asserted that fourth season would be the most intense yet, saying, “It’s just more intense than it ever has been. We always had breathing room episodes before. There’s just no relaxing this season. If we can pull it off, it will top Season 3.”
Game of Thrones’ fourth season premieres April 6 at 9 p.m. on HBO.
