Gaming Update: ‘Gran Turismo 6’ Patch, ‘GTA V’ Cheats and ‘Saints Row IV’ DLC
Last week, Polyphony Digital announced a large patch coming for GT6, hype about GTA V reached a zenith, and Deep Silver released DLC for Saints Row IV with an interesting name.
Gran Turismo 6 Will Require a Large Day-One Patch
When it is released on Dec. 6, the patch will address issues with the online features. Gamers are being warned to expect more updates down the line.
“It’s the same every time. Everything’s very tight. It’s an incredibly tight schedule. As to being able to include everything we want to on day one, we probably won’t be able to. I think for the 12 months following the release, we’ll continue to update the software. Because in Gran Turismo 6, we’re preparing a lot of different things we haven’t even touched on yet,” Polyphony Digital CEO Kazunori Yamauchi told Eurogamer.
Gran Turismo 6 will feature an improved online lounge to make it easier for players to set up championships and races.

Grand Theft Auto V generated more than $800 million in sales during its first day on shelves, shattering the record previously held by Call of Duty: Black Ops II as the fastest-selling video game. Take-Two Interactive announced that the title passed the $1 billion mark within 72 hours of the game’s release. If you don’t have GTA V yet, you might be the only one.
Several cheats featured in the game have also been released. We’ve detailed some of them and where you can find them below. For a complete list, visit PlayStation 3, Xbox 360. Note: when you enable any of the cheats, the ability to receive trophies or achieve accomplishments is disabled.

Raise/Lower Wanted Levels
Flaming Bullets
Bang Bang (Explosive Bullets)
Spawn Buzzard (Helicopter)
Parachute
GTA-inspired DLC Released for Saints Row IV
In an apparent attempt to capitalize on the success of Grand Theft Auto V, the good folks behind Saints Row IV released DLC that is bound to raise a few eyebrows. Dubbed “GATV,” the add-on gives gamers access to new costumes, a heavy machine gun and a launcher called the Knifegun, which shoots out combat knives. Check out the official trailer above.
Deep Silver also released another add-on called “Wild West.” Though not much is known about the DLC, a cowboy outfit, wild west dress and a western themed shotgun and revolver are included in the pack.
Both cost $2.99 and are available for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. The game, which was released in August, is available for $49.99.
