Gucci Mane To Release ‘Trap House 4’ in July
Gucci Mane continues to release new material despite being behind bars. Last week the Atlanta rapper dropped a new single called “Panoramic Roof,” featuring Young Thug, and he has plans to release more material next month.
“July 4, I’m dropping Trap House 4. And September 13, I’m dropping Trap God 3. Even though I’m locked up I still run the streets from jail,” said Gucci in a recently recorded message.
Before his own projects however, he’ll release albums by other artists. “June 17, the empire’s declaring war. World War 3D the series; three albums in one day,” he added. “[The] G.R.E.E.N. Album by the Migos, The P.U.R.P.L.E. Album by Young Thug, and The W.H.I.T.E. Album with Peewee Longway.”
The color-based titles all have special meanings, which were explained by Gucci in a series of tweets last month. “The G.R.E.E.N. Album definition… Get Rich Everything Else is Nonsense,” he tweeted. “The P.U.R.P.L.E. Album definition… People Usually Ridicule the Powerful Lead by Example, [and] The W.H.I.T.E. Album definition… Why Hate? Instead Take Everything.”
In other news, earlier this month Gucci Mane released a diss track aimed at Game entitled “The Definition.” According to reports, their beef stems from an exchange the two had on Twitter in November 2012.
XXL caught up with the track’s producer, Zaytoven, who explained the discord. “Well I think it was because, I remember Gucci was saying something on Twitter about boxing another rapper. Then Game was the guy that responded. I think that’s where it stems from. Some months back. Gucci wasn’t trying to direct it towards Game, but Game responded and he probably felt some type of way,” reasoned Zay.
