HANS Adjustable and Pro Ultra Now Available
With the motorsports season quickly approaching, it’s time for drivers to make sure their safety gear is in good shape. Fortunately for drivers looking for new gear in 2013, the improved HANS Adjustable and Pro Ultra are now available. The two new designs are designed to offer the same high-quality gear with the ultimate in safety, whether for a multi-million dollar race series or a local track.
The Adjustable was recently approved by the International Automobile Federation (FIA) after undergoing the industry’s most rigorous standards testing. The Adjustable gives drivers the ability to adjust in five-degree increments, which will allow for better comfort and fit. This new head and neck restraint allows ease of use for a variety of seating positions and physical sizes; plus, the restraint can be used in open-wheel machines or sedans like weekend warriors might drive.
The revolutionary design of the Pro Ultra was recently approved by the National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) and is eligible to be used immediately. The great news about the Pro Ultra is that it doesn’t cost any more than the Pro, yet it is lighter (carbon fiber) and more comfortable with a lower collar. The gear was also approved by the FIA late last year. If you’re familiar with the Sport 2, the Pro Ultra has the same low profile but is lighter and features a sliding tether for enhanced viewing.
