It’s easy to forget that Boston Celtics rookie Jayson Tatum is just 20 years old, given how he’s played in his first foray into the NBA Playoffs. He’s fresh off averaging 23.6 points per game against the Philadelphia 76ers, helping the Celtics win their second-round series 4-1 and earning a berth in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

As Tatum readies himself to spend a large chunk of time guarding LeBron James and trying to take down one of the best to ever grace a basketball court, an old tweet of his from 2012 has resurfaced, in which Tatum can be found asking LeBron to follow him on Twitter.

Tatum is a St. Louis native, and his godfather just so happens to be Larry Hughes, a former teammate of LeBron’s in Cleveland during LeBron’s first go-round as a Cav. When Tatum was 14, he shot a tweet out to LeBron, asking him for a follow and letting The King know he was Hughes’ nephew. He even included a picture of himself and LeBron to top it off.

Tatum’s relationship with LeBron goes back even further than that tweet, with Hughes taking Tatum to Cavs practice with him when Tatum was just 8 years old.

“I got to go to practice one day, shoot around and rebound for LeBron James,” Tatum told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in 2015. “That was still an unreal experience.”

LeBron still isn’t following Tatum on Twitter, though. Perhaps that will change after the Eastern Conference Finals.
