On May 7, 2011, the Detroit Tigers ace chalked up his second career no-hitter, blanking the Toronto Blue Jays 9-0. He then proceeded to lead the Tigers all the way to the AL Central title and the American League Championship Series. Verlander is a lock for the AL Cy Young award, and it would come as no surprise if the 28-year-old phenomenon wins Most Valuable Player after leading the league in 2011 with 24 wins, 250 strikeouts and a 2.40 ERA. This guy dominated!

MLB 2K12 will be available in March 2012 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PSP, Nintendo DS and Windows PC. For more information, head on over to 2K Sports.

We'll keep you posted on all things MLB 2K12 as we learn more. We're excited to see what the folks behind the state-of-the art NBA 2K franchise put together to top themselves.
