Throughout the past several weeks, we’ve covered Nike’s latest takes on the Zoom Kobe VII, including the All-Star Galaxy version and the Year of the Dragon colorway. If you haven’t yet seen anything that made you pull the trigger on this year’s Kobes, you might find something you like in a new series that lets you free your inner wolf, shark or, uh, frog.
The Nike Zoom Kobe VII Predator Pack features designs based on animals that have Kobe’s predator instinct. Nike originally produced a four-shoe pack that included the cheetah (released as last year’s Christmas Day shoe), wolf, shark and snake. Now the company has announced more additions, all slated for later in the year, including one reflecting the poison dart frog and another representing a jellyfish (think Portuguese man o’ war, whose sting can be fatal).

Kobe VII Predator Pack shoes released so far have ranged from mildly understated to totally outrageous. If you want to make a statement on the court, the neon green/bright purple cheetah design should do the trick. If you’d rather sneak up on your prey, check out the wolf’s cool white and black tones with orange accents.
You can buy the Shark version ($140) right now on Nike’s website; and our froggy friend should jump out some time before summer. The real question is: what other animals are still coming to the series? Lion? Spider? Hyena? Or maybe a Phoenix shoe that would fit right in with the Invisibility Cloak?
