“Instagram Stories” is the best thing that could have happened to LeBron James this off-season. Pulling back the gag order on his social media blackout following the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 2016 NBA championship, LeBron has been using the social media platform’s new feature to document his life in ways we haven’t seen before, from video of his wife’s birthday party to playing softball with his kids.
But perhaps LeBron’s best use of the tool has been to showcase the workouts he’s been doing in the gym as the Cavs prepare to defend their title, including a ton of work on his new obsession, the VersaClimber, springs on the treadmill, and one of the more difficult exercises we’ve seen him perform—using battle ropes while balancing on a BOSU Ball.

With the help of his trainer Mike Mancias, LeBron, looking as svelte as ever, stays perfectly balanced as he goes through a tough workout finisher. It’s his 14th year in the NBA, but LeBron appears to love the gym as much as he ever did at any previous point in his career.
