It’s odd to think about the NBA All-Star Game without Kobe Bryant, since he’s taken part in the festivities every year since 2000. But that’s what will happen next year, since Bryant plans to retire at the end of this season. His appearance in Toronto on Feb. 14, 2016 will be the last time he puts on an NBA All-Star uniform.
This means that the shoes he’ll slip on, his final pair of All-Star kicks, will be treasured. And now we have our first image of what they will look like.
Complete with a black upper that fades into gray and turquoise by the heel, the Nike Kobe XI also features an outsole blending those same colors. The shoe’s tongue is pitch black, as is the heel counter. A silver swoosh caps things off. It’s a good-looking shoe to send Kobe off in fine fashion.
According to Sole Collector, the Kobe XI “All-Star” will be released on Feb. 11 for $220.
