Nike Basketball Christmas Day Basketball Shoe Releases
Check out the limited edition colorways that LeBron, KD and Kobe will sport on-court during their Christmas Day games [Los Angeles Lakers vs. Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder]. All will be available for purchase in stores on Dec. 26.
“Run on Red”
The vibrant red LeBron 8 V/2 reflects LBJ’s ever-evolving game, tipping the scales an ounce lighter than the first LeBron 8. It’s also the first Nike basketball shoe that features an upper made of Flywire.
The LeBron 8 V/2 will retail for $160. Additional colors will launch on Jan. 8, 2011.
“No Melo for Yellow”
Wear your shades to check out Kevin Durant’s new Yuletide kicks. He’ll be lacing up a pair of bright yellow KD IIIs. This shoe includes story elements, notably on the outsole, which features piano keys on the heel and midfoot to symbolize KD’s love of music. There’s also a “BF62” emblem, representing the game in which KD famously scored 62 points at Barry Farms in D.C.
The KD III will retail for $88.
“Green Means Go”
Kobe Bryant will sport the Nike Zoom Kobe VI when the Lakers take on the Heat this Christmas. The low-profile shoe draws inspiration from Kobe’s alter ego, the Black Mamba. Complete with red and green laces, the kick weighs in at approximately 10.6 ounces, making it one of the lightest basketball shoes Nike has ever produced. It also features a Dual Density sockliner that molds to the shape of your foot, providing a custom fit.
The Nike Zoom Kobe VI will retail for $130.
