Odell Beckham Jr. Reveals His Favorite Catch of His Career, and It’s Not the One You Think
Odell Beckham Jr. has made a fair number of catches in his three-year NFL career—262 to be exact. Many of his catches have been spectacular, including the now infamous one-handed grab he made as a rookie in 2014, which remains one of the best catches in NFL history. That is undoubtedly New York Giants fans’ favorite Beckham catch, and you would think, given the the level of difficulty and the fact that it turned Beckham into a household name, that it would be Beckham’s favorite snag as well. Well, you would be wrong.

In an interview with ESPN’s Randy Moss, Beckham revealed that his favorite catch of his career actually happened last season, in a Week 12 game against the Washington Redskins. In the fourth quarter, with the Giants down 20-7, Beckham went streaking down the left sideline against single coverage. Eli Manning lofted a pass Beckham’s way, and it looked like it would sail a few yards out of the mercurial receiver’s grasp. But Beckham dove at the 2-yard line, fully extending his body like Superman, and snagged the ball with his left hand before securing it with his right as he slid into the end zone. Touchdown.
“I remember seeing that ball up and I said I would do anything, I don’t care if I have to grab it against my face mask and leave it right here, I would do anything to catch this ball.” Beckham said. “I just reached out, it hit my hand and I brought it in.”
It’s easy to forget how many sensational catches Beckham has made throughout his brief career, and we can’t blame him for picking this one as his all-time favorite. The one-handed grab in 2014 was iconic, but it’s clear the one above means more to Beckham.
