Ohio State and STACKlete Jonathan Parfejewiec Win Big
We like to take good care of our STACKletes. That’s why we hosted a contest last night, offering ’47 Brand gear to whoever could predict the winner and come closest to guessing the final score of the Duke-Ohio State courtfest.
Only two of you forecast a big win for the Buckeyes, but it was Jonathan Parfejewiec (@j_parf13), of Westlake, Ohio, who summoned his inner Nostradamus. Jonathan predicted an 83-69 Ohio State victory—a mere eight points off the final score of 85-63.
Led by Jared Sullinger’s 21 points, Ohio State overpowered the Duke offense. The Buckeyes let it rain from three-point land, hitting 8 for 14 (57%), while the Blue Devils went cold, hitting only 3 for 15 (20%) from behind the arc.
The scarlet and gray never trailed, despite respectable efforts from Duke’s Austin Rivers (22 points) and Mason Plumlee (16 points). By the end of the first half, it was clear the Buckeyes were on their way to a blowout win, thereby setting Jonathan up with some great OSU gear, courtesy of ’47 Brand.
Congrats to Jonathan on his new Buckeye threads, and thanks to ’47 Brand for playing along. Stay tuned for another contest featuring NBA gear from our friends at ’47 Brand, again celebrating the end of the lockout and the return of NBA hoops.
