Now Hear This: Slaughterhouse "On The House" Mixtape
If you’re looking for music to push yourself through that last mile of your run or that last rep at the gym, let the boys of the hip-hop collective Slaughterhouse help you out. Their debut album, Welcome to: OUR HOUSE, drops tomorrow, but the foursome, who are currently signed to Eminem’s Shady Records, just dropped a free mixtape to add to the hype. The cleverly titled On The House (get it, because it’s free?) features Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden, Crooked I and Royce da 5’9″ having fun bouncing killer bars off each other for 13 tracks, the majority of which feature the emcees trying to outdo each other lyrically.
To really keep your adrenaline pumping, throw on track number nine, “Juggernaut.” The beat samples the classic Chicago Bulls intro music, making you feel like you’re Michael Jordan about to be introduced before Game 7 of the NBA Finals. Be sure to pick up Welcome to: OUR HOUSE tomorrow when it drops.
