UNLV’s Rashad Vaughn Uses Lights-Out Shooting to Propel Himself to the NBA Draft
After averaging 18.3 points per game during his only season at UNLV, Rashad Vaughn came to Impact Basketball to improve his greatest skill—his shot. In college, he was fantastic from both 2- and 3-point range, but he’s working with trainers to become more explosive off one foot, when catching and shooting, and after coming off screens.
Vaughn can score in a variety of ways—spotting up, catching and shooting, pulling up in isolation—and he knows the value of staying in shape when preparing to join a league populated by some of the best athletes in the world. But in the end, only one goal truly matters to the freshman sensation: “I just always wanted to be great,” he says.
