Stephen Curry is So Freaking Good That You Can’t Even Emulate Him in Video Games Anymore
If you missed Stephen Curry’s performance last night, he not only tied the NBA record for 3-pointers in a game (12), he also broke the record for most made 3’s in a single season (288), a record he set last season. Curry went bananas against the Oklahoma City Thunder, more bananas than usual, bringing the Warriors back from a double-digit deficit to tie the game and reach overtime. He hit 3-pointers from mid-court, halfcourt, the practice court and probably his hotel room, pulling up several times even with 7-footer Steven Adams in his face. In the waning seconds of OT, he won the game for his team by casually draining a 3-pointer from 34 feet like he was dunking on a Lil’ Tykes basketball hoop.
Watching Curry play basketball is an out of body experience, causing people to joke that he plays at a level possible only in a video game. But even that isn’t true.
Lmao RT @HDKG: Man 2k fake as f&$#. I want my money back! @NBA2K @Ronnie2K pic.twitter.com/3gyqZAxbFU

After the game last night, a fan playing NBA2k tried taking the same shots Curry hit in real life, and most of them fell short of even hitting the rim. He posted the video to Twitter, where it caught the attention of rapper Wale and Warriors guard Andre Iguodala, who forced overtime with two clutch free throws last night. Both responded by laughing hysterically. This is what it’s come to: a basketball player so good that you can’t come close to mimicking what he does in virtual reality.
