‘Game of Thrones’ Actor Crowned Europe’s Strongest Man
Known throughout the world primarily for his role as Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane on HBO’s Game of Thrones, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson competed in Europe’s Strongest Man competition earlier this month in Leeds, England, and henceforth, prevailed.

Björnsson completed six events and won three: the Forward Hold (“Thor’s Hammer”); the 100-kilogram Dumbbell Press (for seven reps); and “Atlas Stones,” which involves placing heavy weights on top of barrels.

This time he celebrated his victory by whipping off his shirt and shouting “I am the the future of strength, as I am the king of the stones.”
