Tyga to Star in New Reality Show
Tyga has announced plans to star in a new reality television show.
The Young Money star has become a headline staple in recent months due to his controversial entanglement with 17-year-old Kylie Jenner and his tenuous relationship with one-time girlfriend Blac Chyna. But according to reports, the series will not focus on his love life; instead, viewers will get an inside look at his relationship with his crew and their flashy lifestyle. TMZ has reported that singer Chris Brown will also be featured on the show.
Tyga and Brown are currently working on a sequel to their joint project, Fan of a Fan, and have just released the lead single, the Nic Nac-produced “Ayo.” Unlike its predecessor, which was a free mixtape, Fan of a Fan 2 will reportedly be a proper retail album. Tyga is also warming up for the release of his fourth studio LP, The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty. The album will drop via his independent label Last Kings Music. Tyga had a falling out with Cash Money Records and bashed most of his Young Money labelmates. “I tend to distance myself from them,” Tyga told Vibe last year. “I don’t really get along with Drake. I don’t really get along with Nicki.”
Unfortunately, Tyga’s troubles have not been confined to his love life and career. Earlier this month, the Cali-bred rapper was hit a $10,000 fine after he bailed on court-ordered mediation to settle a legal dispute with his former business partner, Glennon Marrero.
Tyga’s reality series, which will air on MTV, will debut this spring.
