WATCH: Alabama Cornerback Cyrus Jones Shows Off Jaw-Dropping Athleticism With 30-Yard Hand Walk
Cyrus Jones is one of the top cornerback prospects in the 2016 NFL Draft. His impressive athleticism, sound technique and outstanding instincts could make him an impact player at the next level. In addition to being a key member of Alabama’s vaunted defense for the past couple of seasons, Jones was also an electric punt returner. His game-sealing touchdown against Michigan State in the Cotton Bowl was one of the best plays from last season.
We recently profiled Jones for our Path to the Pros series, so we got the chance to watch him work out in person. Jones trained at TEST Sports Academy in Martinsville, New Jersey, and we saw the 5-foot-10, 197-pounder put up serious weight on the Bench Press and fly fast in the 40-Yard Dash. But perhaps his most impressive feat was when he showed off elite balance and body control by walking on his hands for a distance of over 30 yards. He looked more like an Olympic gymnast than a soon-to-be-professional football player. Check out the video player above to see Jones in action, and stay tuned to TEST, Inner Armour and STACK’s social media channels for more impressive athletic feats from NFL prospects.
