Thirty-two countries have fought and clawed their way to the playing grounds in South Africa, and this year’s tournament promises to be one of the most thrilling of all time. Forget the Super Bowl; this is real football we’re talking about. The beautiful game will inspire millions of fans and make heroes of the players who lead their teams to victory.
Sure, we know all the big names, teams that are expected to make it to the final stages—Spain, France, Brazil, Argentina and Italy.
