Refs Admit Missing Crucial Foul Call During Thunder-Spurs Playoff Game
The end of Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals was chaotic. No one knew what was going on. Not fans, players, coaches or even the referees. The one group of people who were supposed to keep everything calm and in check had no clue what to do.

With 13 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Thunder guard Dion Waiters was desperate to find a teammate to inbound the ball to. His task was complicated by Spurs veteran Manu Ginobili, who was mirroring Waiters like a wild man. To create space, Waiters threw his elbow at Ginobili and passed the ball in. No call—despite the obvious contact.

The no-call produced an uproar among fans everywhere. The refs later stated that they did indeed miss the call, but also that they’d never seen anything like it.
So far in these playoffs, the refs have been taking a lot of heat. Hopefully they can turn it around.
