Comedy ‘She’s Funny That Way’ Stars Owen Wilson, Jennifer Aniston
The offbeat feature film She’s Funny That Way reunites actors Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston, who previously co-starred in the hit film Marley & Me.
This upcoming screwball comedy centers on Arnold (Wilson), a married Broadway director who falls for Izzy, a prostitute-turned-actress, and tries to advance her career. The plot thickens when Arnold decides to cast Izzy alongside his wife in his new play. Complicating things even more, his wife’s ex-lover is also in the play.
This picture marks legendary filmmaker Peter Bogdanovich’s return to the big screen after a 13-year absence. Bogdanovich wrote and directed the movie, which features a star-studded ensemble cast. Bogdanovich’s ex-wife, actress/filmmaker Louise Stratten, collaborated with him on the screenplay, which he originally wrote fifteen years ago.
Starring as Izzy is British actress Imogen Poots, whose most recent work includes the comedy That Awkward Moment. Aniston portrays Izzy’s therapist Jane, whose mother is an alcoholic in rehab. Kathryn Hahn (We’re the Millers) plays Arnold’s wife Delta, the star of his new play. The cast also includes Lucy Punch (Bad Teacher), Will Forte (30 Rock) and Jennifer Esposito (Blue Bloods). Rhys Ifans (Elementary) plays Delta’s former lover, Seth.
She’s Funny That Way will hit theaters nationwide March 20. Watch the trailer below.
