T.J. Ward Says a Broncos Teammate Once Told Tom Brady He Would Eat His Children
Smack talk is a big part of sports. If an athlete is good at it, he or she can inspire fear and loathing in opponents and mess up their heads (and their games).
Fans don’t hear much on-field or on-court smack talk, but on ESPN’s talk show Highly Questionable, Denver Broncos safety T.J. Ward recently revealed what one of his teammates once said—and it will make you tremble.

On the show, Ward was asked which of his teammates was most feared. Hearing that the most oft-mentioned name was Derek Wolfe, Ward decided to share a story about him. Supposedly during a game, the 6-foot-5, 282-pound defensive end told another player he was going to eat his kids.
Ward then revealed that the other player was one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, Tom Brady. What Wolfe said was crazy, but you can’t blame him for trying to gain a mental edge against Brady. Players have to pull every trick in the book to try and beat him.
