This 5-Foot-6 High School Guard’s First Dunk was an Alley-Oop to Himself
Not many people who stand 5-foot-6 can dunk a basketball. But Gonzaga College High School (Washington, D.C.) senior Chris Lykes is not a normal person. The 5-foot-6, 150-pound point guard is a straight baller, and during a game Thursday night he made his first in-game dunk.

During the third quarter, his team was leading 49-18, the perfect scenario for Lykes to try his first dunk. On a fast break, the four-star athlete threw himself an alley-oop off the backboard and slammed it home. His teammates and head coach Steve Turner couldn’t believe what they had just witnessed.

Lykes is the real deal. He’s already committed to the University of Miami (Florida), and according to ESPN, he’s the No. 1 player in his state and ranked 11th for his position nationally. Lykes not only has incredible hops, but he also has equally impressive handles and shoots the deep ball with ease.
