Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is going to win the 2015 NFL MVP Award. Not only did he lead his team to the league’s best record this season, he made history along the way with his prolific output running and passing the ball. It seemed like he could do no wrong as he threw 35 touchdowns and scored another 10 on the ground.

So, is there anything Cam can’t do?

Well, yes. He’s not very good at shooting a basketball apparently.

Newton recently visited his alma mater, Westlake High School in Atlanta, and watched the school’s basketball team play. During a break in the action, Newton strolled onto the court and made his best attempt to sink a 3-pointer. The shot, which went wide right and a foot long, induced a huge round of laughter from the gym full of fans.

Not that he needed excuses, but Newton might have been hampered by his tight pants and bulky jacket. We’ve said it before, but Cam should really stick to his day job.
