Dig a little deeper into the stats and things get ever crazier. According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, Thompson, who typically gets most of his points off the catch-and-shoot and cuts to the basket, held the basketball for just 90 seconds last night. He had 46 touches in all, which means he averaged just 1.9 seconds per possession.
S/O to my squad for setting me up 2night! I don’t think I had to take more then 5 dribbles the whole game lol

That’s totally nuts. Thompson’s tweet is spot on, too, since 62.5 percent of his shots came after exactly zero dribbles. In fact, he took only 11 dribbles on his 21 makes. When a shooter is on like Thompson was, all his teammates have to do is find him. With his quick release and the Warriors running plenty of sets to get him open on the perimeter, the resulting statline is almost impossible to comprehend.
