PHOTOS: Cal’s 5-Star Basketball Recruit Adds 11 Pounds of Muscle in 44 Days
Ivan Rabb, a five-star recruit coming out of high school who is currently preparing for his freshman year at the University of California, pulled off one of the most impressive (and fastest) body transformations in recent memory. The soon-to-be Golden Bear added 11 pounds of muscle to his 6-foot-11 frame in just 44 days.
The pictures don’t lie, and they come via a tweet from Cal strength coach Nicodemus Christopher, who has been training Rabb this summer.
When @YoungIvee arrived 6/29 I asked him if he was ready to be pushed like never before. Guess what his response was? pic.twitter.com/ZclvDrgXTD

If he keeps bulking up at this rate, Rabb will reach Incredible Hulk status in no time. Yann Hufnagel, one of the team’s assistant coaches, seems pretty excited about the young player’s progress.
This ain’t no ⛽️⛽️⛽️, straight facts! 11 POUNDS of muscle in 44 DAYS… MY GOODNESS!! Ivan Rabb, folks! @YoungIveehttps://t.co/qh4UUcJBim

According to Christopher, Rabb is moving just as well as—if not better than—he was prior to gaining the weight. In a follow-up tweet, Christopher wrote, “Movement efficiency is a top priority! I don’t allow my athletes to gain weight that compromises their movement.”
We’ll be looking for Rabb to put his muscles to good use when he takes the court for the Golden Bears this season.
