As fall approaches, one thing is on everybody’s mind—football. Thanks to the re-launch of ESPN on Xbox Live, we’re getting ready to kick back and watch more than 400 regular season college football games.
To celebrate, STACK is sponsoring a contest and giving away a 120-GB Xbox 360 console with a 12-month Xbox Live Gold subscription card to the winner. Two runners-up will receive 12-month Xbox Live Gold subscription cards.
Contest Details:
In an email to [email protected], tell us your favorite college football program and how you’re training to achieve your dream of joining it. The STACK editorial team will pick the winners based on the quality of both the training program and the writing.
The contest will run through next week, and we will announce the winners on Friday, Sept. 2 at 4 p.m. EST on our Facebook page.

New Features:

• My Sports – ESPN on Xbox Live allows you to choose your favorite teams and designate them as channels on “My Sports.” Then you can jump directly to the games and information that interest you the most. Based on your selections, you will receive an automatic personalized daily feed of news and highlights in “My Sports.”

• Mini Guide – Quick access to all the sports content you care about, right at the bottom of the screen. Is another game tied up late in the fourth? Instantly switch to that game. Halftime? Play the earlier highlights.

• Split Screen – Watch more than one game at a time with ESPN on Xbox Live’s new Split Screen feature. You can view live events on both screens or a live event on one and news and highlights on the other. You control both screens independently, pausing and rewinding each separately so you never miss a second of the action.

• Voice Control with Kinect – Focus on the action instead of looking for the remote. Navigate through the Content Guide, skip to the next highlight or play, pause and rewind the touchdown pass—all with the sound of your voice and the magic of Kinect.

• Scoreboard – Another cool addition is the live scoreboard, which you can jump to at any time. Or use Split Screen to watch a big game and simultaneously monitor the scoreboard to stay on top of all the college football action from around the country.

• Reminders – Too many big games to keep track of in your head? Not to worry—ESPN on Xbox Live now lets you tag games and set reminders so you never miss a moment.

• Live Alerts – Even if you are not keeping a close eye on the scoreboard, live alerts will keep you up-to-date on score changes.

• ESPN BottomLine – A constant feed on the bottom of the screen keeps you in the know with breaking news and score updates.
