Thomas Jones Chasing Greatness Part 4: Moving Iron, Making Muscle

Kansas City Chiefs Pro Bowl running back Thomas Jones is well on his way to a sixth consecutive 1,000-yard season. Last weekend, Jones became the 25th player in NFL history to rush for 10,000 yards in his career. However, the 5'10", 220-pound beastly ball carrier has his eyes set on bigger goals, most notably a Super Bowl championship. The Chiefs are reinforcing their position atop the AFC West each week, making Jones' goal that much more attainable.

The key reason Jones has excelled every year as an NFL running back is his devotion to pumping iron and building muscle, which help deliver blows and protect him from contact. His massive arms and shoulders help him hold onto the ball and administer explosive stiff arms to much larger defensive players.
