Nike Takes Over As the NFL's Official Uniform Provider

April 2, 2012

New England Pats Nike

Rumors are swirling over possible changes to NFL team uniforms now that Nike has taken over as the league's uniform supplier. The partnership officially began at midnight last Saturday, but changes to most teams' current designs have yet to be seen on the official NFL Shop website. We should learn more tomorrow. STACK will be on hand for Nike's official uniform unveiling at a media event in New York City.

According to internet detectives, new uniform designs may be in the cards for at least a few teams. The Carolina Panthers may get a new logo; and Nike will apparently produce a Dolphins alternate jersey in orange (thanks to a sneak peek from Fins cornerback Sean Smith's Twitter account). But the biggest news will probably come from the Seattle Seahawks. Rumor has it the team is going back to a classic logo that incorporates more silver; and Seahawks players may be wearing a silver alternate jersey next season.

So far, it's all rumor and speculation. We'll know more after tomorrow's event. Stick with STACK for more info on the new Nike NFL jerseys.
