Until last night, the U.S. Men's National Soccer Team had been 0-23-1 against Mexico's squad when playing in Mexico. That's right, the U.S. had never won a match in Mexico during the 75 years that the rivalry has existed.
That all changed in the 80th minute when FC Dallas midfielder Brek Shea bolted down the left flank and fired a precise cross to Terrence Boyd, who quickly dished to Michael Orozco Fiscal for the historic, game-winning goal.
Shea's late-game offensive display was not the first time the up-and-coming star has made heroic noise late in games. While playing for FC Dallas last season, he blasted a game-winning goal against Toronto FC from 30 yards out.
Watch the video above to see how Shea made it to FC Dallas and how he is ascending to the top of U.S. soccer through hard work and cutting-edge workouts at the Michael Johnson Performance Center.
