Cam Newton outdueled Robert Griffin III on Sunday both on the field and in the fantasy land of the Battle of the Brands. Newton led all Team Under Armour scorers with 24 points, while RGIII scored just 14 points for the second straight week. The win moved Team UA above .500 and into second place, while Team adidas suffered its third consecutive loss.
We highlighted the week's favorable matchups at running back and wide receiver for Team Nike and Team Reebok, respectively; and those matchups were ultimately where this game was won. Conversely, Nike running backs Ray Rice, LeSean McCoy and Marshawn Lynch (flex) failed to capitalize on the moment, scoring a meager 57 points as a group.
