Bubba Watson has signed an endorsement deal with Oakley. The sport and lifestyle brand announced their agreement with the four-time PGA Tour winner Jan. 4, via a press release on their official website, which recounted Watson's emotional win at the 2012 Masters Tournament.
Asked about his motivation for joining the brand, Watson pointed to Oakley's dedication to golf. "Oakley gets it," he said. "They love the game and they never stop pushing technology to make the game better. Whatever they can do—whatever can be done—Oakley will do it. I respect that."

The flamboyant golfer also pointed out the similarities between his personality and Oakley's history of business moves. "They have the kind of attitude I connect with. There's no arrogance or cockiness...it's just about keeping it fun but staying locked-in on doing your very best, even when it means taking chances," he continued.

Bubba Watson was previously linked with fashion line Travis Mathew. That contact expired at the end of 2012, after three years. Watson now joins his Ryder Cup teammate Zach Johnson at Oakley. Their signings are the latest in a slew of endorsement deals involving golfers. Lucas Glover, Stewart Cink, Ryan Moore, J.J. Henry, Brian Davis and John Huh all recently signed with TaylorMade. And Callaway Golf recently announced the addition of Gary Woodland, Chris Kirk and Andres Gonzales to their lineup.
