Must See Soccer Videos

Nike has revealed its next-generation soccer boot, the Mercurial Vapor IX. The lightweight shoe has been reengineered to support greater straight-ahead speed as well as tighter cutting and better ball control.

The Mercurial Vapor IX features Nike's All Conditions Control (ACC) technology to help players control the ball better. During production, the upper undergoes a special treatment to improve touch in both dry and wet conditions.

The main difference between the Mercurial Vapor IX and other cleats is the upper's Speed Control texture. Nike has redesigned the upper to fit more snugly and feel more like a sock than a shoe.

The Mercurial Vapor IX shoes are available in two bold colorways, Fireberry and Sunset. The Fireberry colorway is purple with a green Nike swoosh; Sunset is orange with a yellow swoosh. Both feature the Nike logo in large print on the sides, a big departure from previous versions. The Mercurial Vapor IX's bright colors will make them difficult to ignore during games.

Nike promises that the Mercurial Vapor IX will be more comfortable, lighter, and more responsive than past models. Designed for explosive speed, a soft touch and unsurpassed comfort, the boots should help players boost their skill level on the soccer field. Check out more pictures below.
