4 U.S. Players to Watch in the World Baseball Classic

Some 750 ballplayers will be in uniform on opening day of the 2013 Major League Baseball season. But only a small fraction of them can say they represented their country on the international stage that is the World Baseball Classic.

The select group of Big Leaguers participating in this, the third edition of the WBC, includes World Series champions, league MVPs, Silver Sluggers and Gold Glovers.

Japan won the first two WBC tournaments. Which nation will conquer the WBC and claim baseball supremacy?

See the names and faces of the MLB players proudly representing the U.S. in hopes of bringing home the WBC title.
