A.J. Green Reveals The Toughest Defensive Backs He's Ever Faced

A.J. Green is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. Who are the cornerbacks he respects the most?

A.J. Green is one of the biggest mismatch machines in the NFL.

The 6-foot-4, 210-pound wide receiver is simply too big and too fast for most defenders to cover. That's why he draws a double team in almost every game. But who does this elite receiver count among the toughest cornerbacks in the NFL?

That's what STACK asked Green at a recent event at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Cincinnati. The five-time Pro Bowler said:

For me, it's Richard Sherman. Chris Harris, (Aqib) Talib. Joe Haden, Patrick Peterson. Those are some of the ones who're at the top of the game right now.

Sherman once called Green "one of the most overrated receivers out there," but he's since changed his tune and now counts him as one of the game's best.

The tandem of Chris Harris Jr. and Aqib Talib make the Denver Broncos defense one of the most dominant in the league. Green has lost four of his five career games against Denver, but he has scored three touchdowns against them.

Green and Peterson had a physical battle in November of 2015, in a game which saw the Cardinals score a narrow victory:

Though Haden seems to be on the backside of his own career, Green has had some tremendous match-ups with his AFC North nemesis over the years. Green still has quite a few years of competition ahead of him, so it will be interesting to see who ends up on this list when he decides to calls it a career.
