Fan With Cancer Asks Mike Napoli for 'a Hug and a Homer'; Napoli Delivers Both

Cleveland Indians first baseman Mike Napoli came through with a hug and home run in response to a fan's special request.

Even though the Cleveland Indians lost 9-2 to the Texas Rangers on Monday, one player scored a major victory with one of his fans.

Before the game, Indians fan Kathi Heintzelman held up a sign that caught the eye of first baseman Mike Napoli. The sign asked the slugger for a hug and a home run. The reason? Heintzelman is about to start chemotherapy. Of course, Napoli walked over and gave her a hug and an autograph.

Then, in the bottom of the sixth inning, Napoli came through to complete the request by smacking a solo shot over the wall.
