Drew Brees Super Bowl
Detroit football fans need not worry: in the 2012 NFL season, Lions WR Calvin Johnson will be the same dominant freak on the outside as he's always been—even if he is on the cover of Madden 13.

Curse? What curse? Here are three athletes who proved there's no such thing.

Eddie George

After gracing the cover of Madden 2001, the Tennessee Titans RB had a phenomenal 2000 season, rushing for 1,962 total yards and scoring 16 TDs.

Drew Brees

The Madden 11 cover boy threw for over 4,600 yards and 33 TDs in the 2010 NFL season, leading the defending Super Bowl champs back to the NFC Playoffs. Watch video of Drew Brees' workout.

Larry Fitzgerald

Madden 10 featured Fitzgerald and Steelers S Troy Polamalu. The Cardinals receiver finished 2009 with over a thousand yards receiving and a career-high 13 TDs.
