Oregon Debuts Special Uniforms for Breast Cancer Awareness

Always ahead of the style curve, Oregon's football team promotes Breast Cancer Awareness Month with new uniforms.

The University of Oregon football program has always been ahead of the curve on uniform design, which is no surprise when you recall the school's proximity to Beaverton, Oregon, home of Nike. The Ducks have sported chrome helmets and about 1,000 different jersey and pants combinations. On Oct. 2, Oregon football will push forward with new uniforms once again.

To promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Oregon will break out black uniforms with pink accents on the numbers, names on the jersey backs and an "O" on the helmets. Players will also don pink socks, gloves and cleats for their primetime Thursday night game against Arizona.
