Jones, 13, is the leadoff hitter for Jackie Robinson West in Chicago, Illinois. He started things off by blasting the third pitch of the game over the fence in centerfield to give his team a quick 1-0 lead over Lynnwood of Washington State. He followed up with a triple off the right-field wall in the top of the second. In the third inning, Jones launched another bomb, this one to left field. He wrapped up his incredible day with his third home run, which cleared the fence in left field in the fifth. He finished batting 4-for-4 with three home runs and a triple. His team went on to win 12-2.

"From the batting practice we've been taking here and the comeback win that got us here, the kids have been very relaxed," said manager Darold Butler. "I felt good going into this game.

Unfortunately, Jackie Robinson West lost their second game on Sunday against Mountain Ridge from Las Vegas, but they remain a fan favorite. They play tonight against Cumberland, Rhode Island in an elimination game.
