Richard Sherman Explains Why He Never Posts His Workouts on Social Media

Richard Sherman has never been the quiet type. So why doesn't he ever show his off-season training on social media? The Seahawks cornerback explains.

Every pro athlete takes his or her own unique approach to social media.

Some love to provide frequent updates on their training and prove they're working hard. Others take the opposite approach, choosing to toil away without letting the world know about it. Richard Sherman fits into the latter group.

There's no doubt the four-time All-Pro is one of the hardest working players on the planet. Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll once described the 28-year-old cornerback's work ethic as "perfect." Sherman grinds each and every off-season. But why don't we ever see evidence of it on social media?

Sherman explained exactly why via an Instagram post earlier today:

"I never show my workouts. Because I have nothing to prove to anyone but myself. The secret to success in just about every walk of life is the same. Hard work . . . Dedication . . . Perseverance . . . Weather the Storm that others will not! If the road to success were easy . . . Everyone would take it!," Sherman writes in the caption.

As a former fifth-round draft pick, Sherman has already proved plenty of doubters wrong. Though we always love getting a glimpse of a pro athlete's off-season training, we have nothing but respect for his approach to social media.
