This year's NBA Dunk Contest was the most exciting one in years, mostly due to the emergence of two high-flying youngsters: Minnesota Timberwolves guard Zach LaVine and Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon. LaVine won the contest, but both players made dunks that were previously unimaginable. ESPN Sports Science broke them down.

Fans are already arguing that this was the best dunk contest in NBA history. Here are some outrageous facts that support that argument. Gordon jumped so high for his under-the-legs-over-the-mascot dunk, that he would've placed third in the high jump at the 2012 Olympics. And LaVine jumped from such a long distance that he could've jumped over a 4-door sedan—the long way.
