With NBA fans focusing on the 27-1 Golden State Warriors, many may have forgotten about the 25-5 San Antonio Spurs. This is no surprise, since the Spurs play a style of basketball that features little flash. But in a game Wednesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Spurs had an offensive possession that every basketball fan has to love.
Near the end of the third quarter, when they were already beating the Wolves pretty badly, the Spurs showed the world how a team should pass the basketball. On that one possession they made eight passes! Players were giving up decent open shots to create a better shot, to set up the best shot possible. Talk about unselfish basketball!
