Tevin Coleman threw up some gaudy numbers during the Atlanta Falcons’ 23-16 win over the Denver Broncos. Coleman tore up Denver’s vaunted defense to the tune of 132 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown and 31 rushing yards. A big reason for Coleman’s success was his lightning-fast speed. He recorded a top speed of 22.25 mph during the game:
Not only was that the fastest speed by any ballcarrier so far this season, it also would’ve ranked as the fifth-fastest speed by a ballcarrier for the entire 2015 season. Next Gen stats weren’t implemented until last season, but Coleman’s speed is certainly one of the fastest on record. His wheels shouldn’t come as much of a shock considering he ran a 4.39 at his Pro Day, but everyone knows that drill speed and game speed are two very different things.
