"I am glad to call this my first shoe," said Chicago Bulls All-Star Derrick Rose about his signature adiZero Rose sneaker. "It's very light and I am going to be [much] faster on the court. I should have a lot more speed."
Truth be told, D-Rose has more than enough speed to lead the Bulls to their third straight post-season appearance. Averaging 24.7 points and 8.2 assists a game, Chicago's #1 is putting pressure on defenders' ankles every night with the help of his 12.9-ounce sneaker. Before Rose breaks out version 1.5 of his signature adiZero line, he'll retire the originals with style. The Chicago native will rock a bright yellow and blue special edition during the 2011 NBA All-Star Game.
The colorway dates back to Rose's high school days, representing the yellow and blue of the Simeon Career Academy Wolverines, located on the South side of the Windy City.
adidas' adiZero Rose All-Star Edition sneakers are available for $100 at eastbay.com. Check back next week for the complete breakdown of Rose's forthcoming signature shoe, the adidas adiZero Rose 1.5.
