STACK Review: Field Testing the adiZero Feather 2
We finally got our feet into the adiZero Feather 2, adidas’s latest, greatest everyday running shoe. Like the new Crazy Light 2 basketball sneaker, the adiZero Feather 2 is among the lightest shoes in its category.
Mikal Peveto, director of running for adidas America, claims the Feather 2 is “more than just a shoe for runners; it’s a shoe for the athlete who wants to reach higher, jump further and be faster.” Eager to test the truth of that claim, we put the Feather 2 through its paces on the trails and on the stairs of a local stadium.
Unlike bulky cross-trainers, the Feather 2 lived up to its advance billing, making our feet feel weightless in a sprint around the track and up the bleachers. Another feature we immediately noticed was COOLEVER technology, designed to manage moisture and temperature. After running in record-high temperatures, we appreciated not having to deal with sweaty, sticky feet at the end of our workout.
Bottom line: if you are a multi-sport athlete or you do a lot of cross training, the adiZero Feather 2 is worth checking out. The shoe officially drops later this month, but you can pre-order a pair for $115 online and at stores nationwide.
