Anthony Davis Shows How He Stays Ahead of the Competition
The game of New Orleans Pelicans center Anthony Davis has exploded. His last season stats—24.4 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per game—make you wonder what he does to produce them. The answer, “Workin’ while they sleep.”
Davis tweeted a video stating he likes to do late-night workouts. They help him get in a zone and tune everything else out. Since the Pelicans just got a new head coach in Alvin Gentry, Davis has been working on several skills, including guard work, perimeter shooting and ball handling.
The talented big man already has a vast skill set. He’s capable of blocking any player on defense and dunking over any defender on offense. Maybe this is why, according to the NBA.com 2015-2016 GM Survey, 86.2 percent of NBA general managers would start a franchise with him today.
Check out Davis’s late-night workout below to see how he’s training to remain one of the most dominant basketball player in the NBA this season. Also, check out his tweet below and watch him nail a three-quarter court shot, challenging his fans to match it. Good luck with that. They will need it.
