Q: Is it bad to use the same exercises in every workout?
A: It’s not ideal. You should be working different body parts or trying to achieve different goals each time you go to the gym. If you perform the same exercises every session, your muscles will adapt and you’ll stop making strength gains. Try dividing your workouts by body part or muscle group; changing your set and rep patterns; or using different equipment than you normally do. A slightly different angle on a movement can hit different parts of a muscle. Vary your exercise selection and set/rep scheme every 3 to 4 weeks to continue challenging your body and avoid boredom.
